This monograph is a complete revision of the genus Phylan which is divided in 8 subgenera containing 63 western Mediterranean species or subspecies (Maghreb, Iberian Peninsula, France, Italy and Great Britain) and a unique Atlantic species.
Determination keys of all the taxa, synonymies, large descriptions, geographical distribution, black and white photographs of all the habitus, many drawings of any interesting morphological details (genitaliae, etc.) and plentiful bibliography are included.
